About us

Lela Instituto de Idiomas has been dedicated to teaching English for more than 30 years. Devised by Teacher Lela, it started in the late 70’s with private conversation classes. Both method and style were all developed and enhanced by her throughout the forty years of her career.

Lela Instituto de Idiomas is a great family; our teachers and employees are carefully chosen to be part of our team. Our students are always enthusiastic and motivated about coming to class. Our ex-students are constantly visiting and seeking us to improve their English even more.

Here, everybody feels at home.

COURSES

Our classes are focused on conversation, dealing with everyday life situations and bringing up subjects that are interesting for our students. The selection of our material to be given in class is customized, taking not only age group differences into account, but also the activities, personalities and interests related to each class group. Through conversation, the student develops the four necessary skills as well as improves his grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and comprehension levels.

Smaller class groups render a better dynamism and allow everybody to express themselves, clearing up doubts and improving your fluency and communication.

INTERNATIONAL EXAMS

We specialize in the preparation for international proficiency exams in English and we are also one of the very few institutions in Brazil to prepare students for college entrance exams and Postgraduate programs abroad.

We use specific material for each exam, with a vast range of exercises, training and orientation on how to perform successfully on every test.

TRANSLATIONS

Teacher Lela is also a sworn translator and commercial interpreter.

Our translation team has experienced professionals for simple or scientific texts. Our deadlines are rigorously met and our budgets strictly followed.
